Donn Davis PROFESSIONAL FIGHTERS LEAGUE, Chairman and Co-Founder

Donn Davis is Chairman and Co-Founder of the Professional Fighters League and Founding Partner of Revolution.

Donn is a proven investor, entrepreneur, and company-builder in media, digital, gaming, and sports.

Together with Steve Case, he co-founded Revolution in 2005, a Washington DC based venture capital firm with $1.5 billion under management. Donn served as Managing Partner of the Revolution Growth funds, investing in disruptive media, digital, gaming, and sports companies such as DraftKings, Sportradar, CustomInk, BigCommerce, and Scopely.

Donn is co-owner of Team Liquid, the most winning e-sports team in history and two-time ESPN e-sports Team of the Year.

Previously, Donn served as Chairman and CEO of Exclusive Resorts, building the pioneering sharing economy company from start-up to market leader with over $1 billion of vacation home assets.

Donn was a senior executive at America Online during the formative period of the consumer internet, including serving as the President/COO of the AOL Interactive Properties Group, where he managed 7 hyper-growth internet businesses and 1,000-person team. Donn was also the youngest member of the company-wide Operating Committee when AOL was a Fortune 50 Company.

At age 29, Donn was named Chief Counsel to the beloved Chicago Cubs Baseball Team, where he was the youngest team attorney in Major League Baseball.

Donn started his career at Sidley & Austin in Chicago, focused on media, sports, and technology M&A and financing transactions.

He graduated from Miami University (Ohio) in 1985 with a BS in Finance and University of Michigan Law School in 1988. Donn created

the course “Real Business” which has been taught for over a decade at his alma mater, where he has served as an Adjunct Professor.

Donn and his wife of 25 years Sharon live in Great Falls, Virginia and have three children. He was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Peter Murray PROFESSIONAL FIGHTERS LEAGUE, Chief Executive Officer

Peter Murray joined PFL as Chief Executive Officer in January 2018.

Peter is a senior sports executive and proven global marketer. He oversees all business operations, fighter  roster, event management, broadcast production, original content, and marketing for the company.

Before joining the PFL, Murray served as VP Global Brand and Sports Marketing at Under Armour reporting to  Founder and CEO Kevin Plank. In this role, he was responsible for category management of football, baseball,  basketball, soccer, combat, and Olympic Sports.

Prior to Under Armour, he was Co-Founder and CEO of Insignia Sports Agency and EVP Marketing & New  Business at William Morris Endeavor.

For 13 years, Peter was a senior executive at the National Football League (NFL), including leadership roles as  SVP of Business and Content Development and SVP of Global Brand Partnerships.

MARK LESCHLY ICONICA PARTNERS Founding Partner, RHO CAPITAL PARTNERS Owner and Managing Partner

Mark Leschly is a Co-Founder of PFL. He combines experience in sports with 25 years of management and

investment in technology-led businesses as a venture capitalist, founder, entrepreneur, and CEO.

Mark is the Founder and Managing Partner of Iconica Partners, a principal firm investing at the intersection of sports, media, and technology.

Mark is an owner and Managing Partner of Rho Capital Partners, a venture capital and firm with $2.5 billion under management.

Mark is the Chairman and CEO of Universal Tennis, a technology company creating a single unifying tennis rating  (Universal Tennis Rating) for all players, coaches, and event organizers. The Company is backed by leaders in  tennis like Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Larry Ellison, Tennis Australia and Tennis Channel. Universal Tennis is  the fastest growing technology company in tennis.

He is a minority owner in Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) and Team Liquid/aXiomatic (esports).

Earlier in his career, Mark was a General Partner at Healthcare Ventures, a leading life sciences venture capital  firm, and a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.

He is a former ATP professional tennis player selected to the Danish Davis Cup team. Mark received an MBA from  Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BA with honors from Harvard University.

RUSS RAMSEY RAMSEY ASSET MANAGEMENT Chairman, CEO, and CIO

Russ Ramsey is a Co-Founder of the PFL. Russ is a successful financier, educational leader, and philanthropist.

Russ is most known as co-founding Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Group (FBR) in 1989, where he served as President  and Co-CEO through leaving the firm in 2001.

In 2001, Russ founded Ramsey Asset Management, where he is presently Chairman, CEO, and CIO.

Russ currently serves as Chairman of the Greater Washington Partnership. He is also a member of the Council on

Foreign Relations and a member of the Washington-Baltimore chapter of the WPO.

Russ served on The George Washington University Board of Trustees for over a decade, including two terms as  Chairman of the Board, overseeing the creation and staffing of the University's first investment office, playing a  critical role in the University surpassing the $1 billion endowment threshold, and directing the Search Committee for the 16th President of the University.

Russ attended GWU on a baseball scholarship, where he is a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame and All-Century

Team, and earned his BA in Business in 1981.

Through the W. Russell and Norma G. Ramsey Foundation, the Ramsey Family is actively committed to  philanthropic causes that provide education and wellness programs to those in need.

He is a native Washingtonian and lives with his wife Norma and their four children in Northern Virginia.

FRED SCHAUFELD SWaN & LEGEND Co-Founder and Managing Director

Fred Schaufeld is renowned entrepreneur and successful venture capitalist.

 

Fred is Co-Founder and Managing Director of SWaN & Legend Venture Partners (SWaN), which has made  numerous breakout investments including Pinterest, Cava, KIND Healthy Snacks, Custom Ink, Anonymous Content,  and José Andrés Think Food Group.

 

Fred has extensive sports expertise as founding minority owner in numerous sports franchises, including:  Washington Capitals (NHL), Wizards (NBA), Mystics (WNBA), Capital City Go-Go (NBA-G), Washington Nationals  (MLB), Team Liquid (e-Sports), as well as the PFL.

Fred made his entrepreneurial mark as Founder and CEO of NEW Corp. (NEW) which was acquired by Asurion in  2008 (now NEWAsurion). NEWAsurion is the world’s largest consumer product protection company, employing over 20,000 people worldwide. He was recognized with Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” award.

He is the Chairman of the Inova Health System Foundation and sits on the board of the Wolf Trap Foundation.

Fred and his wife, Karen, live in Virginia and are active in organizations dedicated to early childhood development,  literacy, health, environment, peace, and the arts. He received his BA in Government from Lehigh University.

TED SEGAL EJS GROUP Founder and President

Ted Segal is the Founder and President of EJS Group, a real estate development and financing company focused  on ground-up multifamily and mixed-use development in primary markets, with an emphasis on the New York  metropolitan area.

Prior to founding EJS, Mr. Segal was a Vice President at LS Power Equity Advisors, where he focused on merger  and acquisition transactions and project development opportunities in the U.S. power generation sector.

From 2009-2013, Mr. Segal was an associate at the law firm of Latham & Watkins LLP, where he worked in the  project finance practice group and represented developers, private equity sponsors and financial institutions in  project financings and acquisition financings, with a principal focus on the power generation sector.

Mr. Segal graduated magna cum laude with special honors from the George Washington University with a BA in  Political Communication. He earned his JD from the New York University School of Law, where he served as the  Colloquium Editor of the New York University Environmental Law Journal.

NATE REDLEAF LUXOR CAPITAL Partner

Nate Redleaf is a partner at Luxor Capital Group, an investment firm with over $5 billion of capital under  management. Luxor Capital Group is based in NYC and was founded in 2002. Mr. Redleaf also serves on the  board of Dot Labs, Ocean Casino & Resort, and Innovate Auto Finance.

 

 

 

ARA COHEN KNIGHTHEAD CAPITAL Co-Founder and Co-Managing Member

Ara Cohen is a Co-Founder and Co-Managing Member of Knighthead Capital. Mr. Cohen has been involved in the business of investing in debt and equity securities since 1993. 

Prior to co-founding Knighthead in 2008, Mr. Cohen joined Redwood Capital Management, LLC as a Principal in early 2001 and helped build the firm from a small start-up to a multi-billion dollar fund. From 1998 until 2001, Mr. Cohen was a Principal of King Street Capital Management LLC. From 1995 until 1998, Mr. Cohen was a Principal of Tamarix Capital Corporation. 

Mr. Cohen began his career in 1993 at Brown Brothers Harriman & Company, where he served principally as an analyst for The 1818 Fund, L.P. and The 1818 Fund II., two private equity partnerships sponsored by the firm. Mr. Cohen received his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Bowdoin College.
