Main event time already!  2x reigning PFL Champion Kayla Harrison (14-0) returns to London where she became the first ever U.S. to win Olympic gold in Judo nearly 10 years ago to the day to take on Martina Jindrova (6-2) in our final PFL Semifinal bout.  Harrison enters this bout seeking her 3rd consecutive PFL Championship appearance to add to an already impressive resume that includes 2 Olympic Gold Medals, 2 PFL Championships, an ESPY Nominee for Best MMA Fighter, and more.  Jindrova earned her spot in the PFL by winning a contract on the PFL Challenger Series and clinched her playoff spot with an impressive 1st round KO of Zamzagul Fayzallanova. A well credentialed kickboxer, Jindrova will certainly pose a threat to the seemingly untouchable Harrison on the feet.

Round 1

We’re officially underway in our main event and Jindrova opens with a high kick from range that misses the mark.  Very feint heavy approach from Jindrova early as she clearly respects the power and grappling ability of Harrison.

Jindrova throws a kick and Harrison catches it and drives Jindrova straight down to the mat and into side control where Harrison starts attacking an armbar and scarf hold before abandoning it briefly to focus on position.

Now Harrison is landing some short but heavy ground and pound shots as Jindrova throws up an armbar from her back that Harrison defends with ease.  Harrison moves to knee on belly and gets off some big shots before passing into full mount with almost 3 minutes to work.

Jindrova is in trouble now as Kayla is heavy on top peppering some ground and pound, seemingly just waiting for an opening for a finish.  Right on cue, Harrison postures up and turns up the intensity on the strikes before dropping back down and cinching up an arm triangle.

It’s getting tighter and tighter as Harrison applies pressure to the throat of Jindrova with her shoulder and there’s the tap!
