After turning pro in 2016, Alex Chizov won 10 of his first 11 contests, which included seven finishes. He made his PFL debut during the 2022 PFL Playoffs, scoring a second-round submission of Omar Hussein. Chizov competed in the PFL Europe season last year, advancing to the playoffs but missing out on the opportunity after missing weight.

Daniele Scatizzi made his pro debut in 2013 at just 20 years old, competing on the regular circuit, most notably in Italy, before signing with Bellator in 2019. A judo specialist, Scatizzi has trained at the famed SBG Gym in Ireland. After going 4-3 in Bellator, Scatizzi was scheduled to make his PFL debut in December at the PFL Europe Championship event, but his bout was scrapped after his opponent missed weight.
